A bit about the Club
The Dakota County Gun Club was formed over 30 years ago by a group of shooting and outdoor enthusiasts who live in the Rosemount and Farmington area.
The club is non-profit and is run entirely through membership volunteers.
All members are required to contribute 8 hours of service to the club each year.
The range, located in Empire County, was leased from the University of Minnesota. Subsequently, the land became State of Minnesota owned after the University exchanged it for the land where the U of M football stadium was built.
